The popup now reports only what it can actually see: your KDP connection.

The "Amazon Advertising" row is gone. Ad spend reaches AuthorLens through Amazon's API, not through your browser, so the extension can neither perform that sync nor observe it — showing a green tick for it was a claim it had no way to make.

Sync progress now lives in AuthorLens itself, on the Data sync panel, where it can state the real range and coverage.

Fixes imports that stopped partway with 'the KDP tab closed before the import finished'. A long-running import is no longer mistaken for an abandoned one, a KDP report that never answers is now told apart from a closed tab, and windows that do not fit in one run continue on the next check instead of being reported as failures.

Fixes two faults that could cut a royalty import short.

• A long import no longer loses its tab. A first sync asks Amazon for your whole
history plus 90 days of daily detail, one window at a time, and a background
clean-up could close the KDP tab out from under it after fifteen minutes even
while it was working normally. The clean-up now measures progress rather than
elapsed time, so an import that is still moving is left alone.

• If Amazon moves the tab off the reports page, we now reopen it and ask again
instead of stopping. Previously the run ended and reported an error.

Nothing you imported before is affected, and there is nothing to reconfigure.

A simpler window: syncing, history and settings now live in AuthorLens, so the extension does one job — keeping your KDP royalties and Amazon Ads spend flowing. It now notices when Amazon signs you out and tells you, instead of quietly stopping. Fixes a bug that could cut short an import of several past months.

Updating is one button now, and it only appears when there is genuinely an update waiting to install. Press it, it installs, and the next time you open the popup it tells you it did. "Check for updates" is gone — your browser already does that on its own.

While a sync runs, the progress is on the button you pressed and along the edge of the card, so it is obvious something is happening. The status dot keeps showing whether your data was fine before the refresh started, instead of spinning and telling you nothing.

The popup now opens with a proper loading state rather than a grey dot, says exactly what each sync found in the same words the AuthorLens dashboard uses, and shows its version once instead of twice.

A failed sync now says what actually went wrong. If Amazon signed you out, you get the sign-in prompt; if a report was slow, it simply retries; if we could not read the page, that reaches us as our bug to fix. Previously every one of these ended in the same 'the sync did not finish' with no way to tell them apart.

Background royalty syncs work again — a bug stopped the extension from reading your KDP report in the tab it opens for you.
We no longer tell you Amazon signed you out when it didn't. A sync that simply ran out of time now says so, and retries by itself.
