If you install our browser extension, we additionally collect:
- a random device identifier for that install, and your browser name and version;
which of our supported retailers you currently appear to be signed in to (a simple yes/no per retailer) - not your retailer login details; - a record that a shopping list was sent to a retailer, and how many items were added successfully, so the extension and your account can confirm it worked;
- read/unread status of the notifications shown in the extension.
To check whether you're signed in to a supported retailer before attempting to add anything, the extension reads certain sign-in cookies already set by that retailer's own website (for example Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Ocado, Morrisons, Waitrose and Iceland) while you are on that retailer's site. It only checks whether the cookie is present - it does not read, store or send us the cookie's value.
When you choose to send a shopping list to a retailer, the matched products and quantities are sent directly to that retailer's own website, using your own already-signed-in session there, so they can be added to your real basket. This is the same list content already described under Account data above - the extension is simply a new way of acting on it. We do not see or store anything additional about what happens in your basket at the retailer beyond the confirmation described above.
If you uninstall the extension, your browser tells us the device identifier so we can disconnect that device and revoke its access to your account. Uninstalling sends no other information.
