Privacy policy for Bookmark AI
Bookmark AI collects only what is needed to run your own library, and only after you sign in.
- Authentication: the extension mirrors the session you create on www.bookmark-ai.cloud (Clerk) so it can save to your account. Tokens are kept in extension storage and never logged.
- Bookmarks: pages you save from the popup and, when the Sync toggle in Settings is on (default on), bookmarks you add or remove in Firefox are mirrored to your library. Titles, URLs and favicons are sent to Bookmark AI's own servers and processed by an AI provider (Google Gemini, or a key you supply) for categorization, tagging and search.
- Browsing activity: when you click "Save session", the open tabs of the current window are saved. If you turn on "Share window as live session" (off by default), the open tabs of that window are streamed to your other signed-in devices; private windows are never sent, credential-looking URLs are reduced to their origin, and live data expires after 7 days.
- Each save is labeled with the browser, device name and operating system it came from, so you can filter your library by device.
We do not sell data, show ads, or share your data with third parties beyond the infrastructure that runs the service (Vercel, Turso, Clerk, and the AI provider). You can delete any bookmark or session, sign out at any time, and delete your account from Settings → Account, which removes all of your data.
