Privacy Policy for ChiJa Clip

This extension helps you clip AI conversations to ChiJa WIKI and save web pages to ChiJa PAGE (https://chija.io or your configured ChiJa API).

  1. Data we handle
    • ChiJa Bot Token and API Base URL that you enter in Options
    • Conversation text (prompts and replies) from AI chat pages when you save
    • Web page HTML content (sanitized) and inline images from http/https pages when you save
    • Attachment files linked in AI conversations when available
    • Destination folder identifiers in your ChiJa workspace
    • Local UI preferences (for example, whether to show the floating save button)
  2. Where data is stored
    • Bot Token, API Base URL, and UI preferences are stored only in Firefox local storage on your device (browser.storage.local)
    • We do not hard-code tokens in the extension package
  3. What is transmitted
    When you click Save, the extension sends conversation or page content and optional attachments/images to the ChiJa API endpoint you configured (default: https://api.chija.io). Your Bot Token is used as a Bearer credential for that request.
    No data is sent until you explicitly save (or run a connection test, which calls the ChiJa API with your token).
  4. What we do not do
    • We do not sell your data
    • We do not use your conversations for advertising
    • We do not send your data to unrelated third parties for analytics or tracking
  5. Third parties
    Chat content originates from the AI sites you visit (OpenAI / Anthropic / Google). Saving uses ChiJa’s servers under ChiJa’s own terms and privacy policy. Please review ChiJa’s policy for how ChiJa stores and processes uploaded documents.
  6. Permissions note
    Host and API permissions are used only to read the current page on user action, download images/attachments for the save flow, and call the ChiJa API. Origin header modification is used solely so ChiJa API requests from the extension are not blocked by CORS.
