About this extension
Connection Monitor keeps a constant eye on your internet connection so you don't have to guess why a page won't load.
The toolbar icon changes color based on live status:
🟢 Green — online, normal latency
🟡 Yellow — online, but latency is high
🔴 Red — offline
Click the icon to see:
Current ping and a rolling average
Recent packet loss percentage
A live latency graph
Total number of interruptions and cumulative downtime since your last reset
A timestamped log of every disconnect/reconnect event, with how long each lasted
You'll also get a desktop notification whenever your connection drops or comes back, and you can export the full event/latency log as a CSV file at any time.
Connection Monitor checks reachability using Mozilla's own connectivity-check endpoint (the same one Firefox uses internally for captive portal detection), with a fallback endpoint if that's unreachable. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, everything stays in your browser's local storage.
