Demo Room is a Firefox extension for organizing, saving, and sharing demonstration configurations with isolated persona sessions.
Information collection
Demo Room does not collect or transmit personal information to the developer. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking services, or remote telemetry. No Demo Room account is required.
Information stored locally
Demo Room stores its settings and saved configurations locally in your Firefox profile. These may include:
Demo and persona names.
Persona colors and container identifiers.
Full website URLs, tab order, and session-grouping information.
Appearance preferences.
Demo Room accesses tab and container information to perform actions you request, such as saving a demo or opening a persona tab. It does not upload this information to the developer.
Cookies and sign-in sessions
Demo Room uses Firefox containers to separate website sessions between personas. Firefox manages the associated cookies and sign-in state.
Demo Room does not collect your passwords or export cookies or authenticated sessions. Firefox’s own password-management features operate separately from Demo Room.
Backups and sharing
You may export a demo or your demo library as a JSON file. These files contain configuration information, including names, colors, full URLs, tab order, and session grouping. They do not contain passwords or cookies.
Backup files are not encrypted by Demo Room. Full URLs may contain sensitive information, such as account identifiers or access tokens. Review exported files before sharing them.
Demo Room does not automatically upload or share backups. Any file you share is subject to the privacy and security practices of the recipient and the service you use to transfer it.
Extension permissions
Demo Room uses Firefox permissions to:
Store settings and demo configurations locally.
Read and manage tabs used in demo workflows.
Create and manage containers for isolated personas.
Support Firefox’s container functionality through the required cookies permission.
Associate demo information with browser windows using session data.
Apply the selected browser theme.
These permissions support the extension’s features and are not used for advertising or tracking.
Websites you visit
When you open a website through Demo Room, Firefox connects to that website normally. The website may collect information under its own privacy policy. Demo Room does not control third-party websites or their data practices.
Retention and deletion
Saved configurations remain in your Firefox profile until you remove them or clear the relevant extension data.
You can delete individual saved demos or use Reset Demo Room to remove Demo Room’s saved configurations, managed containers, and appearance preference. Reset closes tabs in managed containers. It does not remove unrelated containers, ordinary tabs, Firefox-saved passwords, or downloaded backup files.
Deleting a saved demo alone does not delete its containers or website sessions. Downloaded backups and copies shared with others must be deleted separately.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to Demo Room. Updated versions will show a revised effective date.
