EasyDown browser extension privacy notice

Data used by the extension
EasyDown identifies the URL and public post or profile identifiers of supported pages to show the current context in the sidebar. It does not read website cookies, passwords or the browser's browsing-history database. Ordinary browsing does not automatically start paid data collection.

EasyDown service
When you request data, the extension sends your EasyDown API token, the selected post/profile identifiers, operation parameters and pagination information to https://api.easydown.org/. These are used for authentication, permissions, retrieving the requested public data, calculating credit costs and processing the operation. The service stores operation results and settlement records to support task recovery and avoid charging the same operation twice. Public-content queries may be processed through the service's upstream data provider, TikHub; the shared upstream credential stays on the EasyDown server.

Local storage and downloads
Settings, the EasyDown token and optional AI credentials are stored in extension local storage, not browser sync. Task results are stored locally in IndexedDB and separated by EasyDown account. Media processing may store temporary data in the extension's private storage. Media downloads connect to the relevant hosting/CDN services. Browser network requests expose normal connection information to those services.

Optional AI
AI features are optional. If enabled, selected content and prompts are sent to the provider you configure: Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic. Your provider key authenticates those requests. The interface asks you to confirm the data being sent. Provider terms, privacy practices and billing apply to those requests.

Your controls
You can disconnect the EasyDown account, remove credentials and clear cached task data in extension settings. Settings exports omit tokens and AI keys. Clearing local data does not by itself delete server-side operation or credit records. For questions about stored server data or requests relating to your data, contact contactus@easydown.org.
