Privacy policy for MDL Scores for AvistaZ
MDL Scores for AvistaZ by Janta34
Last updated: August 25, 2026
MDL Scores for AvistaZ has one purpose: find a MyDramaList title corresponding to a TV title displayed on AvistaZ and show its public score.
On supported AvistaZ TV pages, the add-on reads the displayed drama title, release year, and—on detail pages—alternate titles. This happens locally in Firefox. It does not read or transmit AvistaZ usernames, account details, passkeys, torrent activity, forum activity, private messages, or the AvistaZ page URL.
To perform its primary function, the add-on sends the displayed drama title as a search query to mydramalist.com. Firefox may attach existing MyDramaList cookies, including session or Cloudflare clearance cookies, only to requests sent to MyDramaList. MyDramaList also receives ordinary connection information such as the user's IP address and browser user-agent, as it would during a direct visit. MyDramaList's own privacy policy governs its processing.
The add-on does not send information to the developer or to any developer-operated server. It contains no analytics, advertising, telemetry, tracking pixels, affiliate links, remote code, or payment functionality.
Successful matches and confident no-match results are cached in Firefox local extension storage for seven days. A cache record contains a normalized drama title, release year, MDL score, matched MDL URL, match status, and save time. The user can delete all cached records at any time from the add-on toolbar popup.
The add-on is disabled in private browsing, so it does not create cache records from private windows.
The developer does not receive, sell, rent, or share user data. Drama-title queries go directly from Firefox to MyDramaList solely to retrieve the requested public score.
If the add-on's data practices change, this policy and Firefox data-collection declarations must be updated before release. Features requiring additional data must not be enabled without the consent required by Mozilla's add-on policies.
For questions or deletion requests, contact the publisher through the AvistaZ forum thread where the add-on was distributed. The developer cannot delete MyDramaList server logs or cookies; those are controlled by MyDramaList and the user's browser.
