About this extension
This extension shows each property's connection details
right on the page, so you can compare fibre types and speeds without a
separate lookup.
On every Domain.com.au and Realestate.com.au property page — and on each
card in a search results page — a small label appears at the bottom of
the listing's info block:
FTTP: 1000-2000 Mbps
Tech Change Status: Eligible to Order, upgradable to FTTP
What it tells you
- The connection technology (FTTP, HFC, FTTN, FTTB, …) and its typical
maximum speed, colour-coded: green for FTTP, orange for HFC, red for
older copper-based techs.
- Whether the property is eligible to order a connection.
- Whether it can be upgraded — when the serving area offers a faster
technology than the property currently has, it shows
"upgradable to FTTP".
- For properties NBN doesn't serve it shows "No NBN data" — and when the
area runs on Opticomm's wholesale fibre (common in northern Queensland
estates), it looks up and shows the real Opticomm speed, e.g.
"Opticomm FTTP: 900/360 Mbps".
Privacy: the only data this extension sends anywhere is the property
address shown on the page, and only to NBN's and Opticomm's public
lookup APIs. Nothing else is collected, stored, or transmitted.
