About this extension
Stop babysitting tabs waiting for a page to change.

PagePulse automatically reloads a page on a fixed interval or within a random range while watching for something specific to appear. Tell it what you are waiting for, a keyword or phrase, and let PagePulse handle the repetitive checking. When the match appears, it stops reloading, highlights the first match on the page, sends a system notification, and can optionally play a notification sound.

What PagePulse does
  • Auto refresh: Reload a page at a fixed interval, from every second up to 24 hours.
  • Randomised intervals: Use a range such as 8 - 15 seconds to introduce natural variation between reloads.
  • Keyword watching: Search the visible text of the page for a keyword or phrase after each reload.
  • Automatic stop: Stop as soon as the target text is found.
  • Match highlighting: Highlight the first matching occurrence directly on the page.
  • Notifications: Display a system notification, and 0ptionally play a sound when a match is found.
  • Per-page settings: Remember configurations independently for different pages, even when they are visited in the same tab.
  • Light and dark themes: Follow your system preference by default, with the option to change and remember your choice.

Example Uses

Use PagePulse to watch for:
  • A product coming back in stock
  • An application or exam result changing
  • A booking or appointment slot becoming available
  • A status changing on a dashboard
  • A page updating with information you're waiting for

You can also use PagePulse as a straightforward auto-refresher when you don't need keyword monitoring.

Privacy & Open Source

PagePulse is fully open source and processes monitoring locally in your browser. It does not collect personal data or communicate with an external server.

The source code is available on GitHub, where you can report bugs, and also share other feedback.
