Privacy Policy — PoE2 Trade Compare

PoE2 Trade Compare is a browser extension that overlays Path of Building stat comparisons on listings at pathofexile.com/trade2. It does its work entirely on your own device.

The developer receives no data from this extension. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party service of any kind. No data is sold or shared with anyone.

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

All of the following is kept in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your device except where the next section says otherwise:

• Your saved characters — the Path of Building build XML for each character you import, along with its name, class, level and league, and which one is currently active.
• Your pathofexile.com sign-in — if you choose to sign in, the OAuth access and refresh tokens issued to you, and your Path of Exile account name. A short-lived value is also stored while a sign-in is in progress.
• Your preferences — the DPS skill selected for comparison, whether the trade-page overlay is switched on, and which passive-tree jewel sockets you have pinned to the chip strip.
• A diagnostic log, only while you turn on verbose logging on the extension's debug page. It stays on your device and is shown only to you. You can clear it from that page at any time.

WHAT IS SENT OVER THE NETWORK

Only requests to Path of Exile's own servers, made as you:

• pathofexile.com — the sign-in page, when you choose to sign in.
• api.pathofexile.com — Path of Exile's official API, to exchange and refresh your sign-in tokens and to fetch your own account name and characters when you import them.

The extension reads trade listings from the pathofexile.com/trade2 page you are already viewing. It does not make additional requests to fetch them, and it sends nothing about them anywhere.

If you have not signed in, the extension makes no network requests at all.

REMOTE CODE

None. The Path of Building calculation engine and all of its game data are bundled inside the extension package. Nothing is downloaded or executed from the network at runtime.

LINKS OUT OF THE EXTENSION

The About page and the toolbar icon's menu contain a link to the developer's Ko-fi page. Following it is your choice, and it opens an ordinary web page governed by Ko-fi's own privacy policy, not this one.

DELETING YOUR DATA

• Remove a single character with the ✕ on its entry in the extension popup.
• Sign out from the popup's "Add character" view to discard your stored tokens.
• Clear the diagnostic log from the extension's debug page.
• Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it has stored.

Signing out of, or deleting, this extension does not revoke anything on Path of Exile's side; manage that from your pathofexile.com account settings.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a new date at the top.
