About this extension
Long YouTube sessions can gradually use more memory. RAM Regulator for YouTube tracks watched time and distinct videos in each YouTube tab, then replaces that tab with a fresh one only at a safe transition.
Not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
- Recycle after a configurable watched-time limit (default: 90 minutes) or number of distinct videos (default: 10).
- Counts across ordinary videos, Shorts, playlists, and YouTube Music mixes.
- Never interrupts the current video or song.
- Can recycle a background YouTube Music tab when its next track autoplays after the time limit.
- Optionally shows the tab's progress in YouTube's player controls.
- All counters stay locally in Firefox. No analytics, accounts, or browsing data are sent anywhere.
