RatioVPN is a Firefox browser proxy-routing and privacy extension. It is not presented as a device-wide VPN service. Users configure their own compatible proxy endpoints.
The extension uses the Firefox proxy API for browser routing and declarativeNetRequest for its packaged Shield ad/tracker rules.
Privacy and security details:
No analytics or telemetry.
No browsing-history collection by RatioWorks.
No IP-history collection by RatioWorks.
No advertising SDK.
No remote code execution.
No remote configuration service.
Shield rules are packaged locally with the extension.
Proxy passwords are not persisted in browser.storage.local. Session storage is used where supported, with volatile extension-process memory as the fallback.
WebRTC protection checks Firefox setting control before attempting to change the setting.
RatioVPN includes compatibility protection intended to avoid silently competing with another Firefox extension controlling proxy settings.
