Slopstop collects no personal data, transmits none, and stores nothing about you anywhere except your own device.

WHAT IS COLLECTED

Nothing. There is no analytics, no account system, no crash reporting and no telemetry, and there are no servers operated by the developer. No information about you or your listening is gathered, sold, shared or transmitted.

WHAT IS STORED, AND WHERE

Everything Slopstop saves lives in your browser's local extension storage: the artists, songs and keywords you have chosen to block, and a cached copy of the public AI artist lists so they are not downloaded again on every page load. None of it is synced anywhere. Uninstalling the extension removes it.

NETWORK REQUESTS

Slopstop contacts exactly two addresses, both to download public lists of AI-generated artists:

• raw.githubusercontent.com, for the community list maintained by the spotify-ai-blocker project
• zoundhub.com, for a supplementary list

Both are plain file downloads carrying no identifier and no listening history. As with opening any web page, those hosts can see your IP address; that is the extent of what they receive. Requests happen at most once every six hours, or when you press Sync.

PERMISSIONS

• storage: saves your blocklists on your device
• music.youtube.com: reads the current track's title and artist from the player bar, and operates the skip and thumbs down controls
• raw.githubusercontent.com and zoundhub.com: download the artist lists

CHANGES TO YOUR YOUTUBE MUSIC ACCOUNT

When a blocked track starts, Slopstop presses thumbs down on it and then skips to the next track. That is a deliberate change to your account, made so the recommendation algorithm stops offering similar material. It happens only for tracks matching your blocklists, and every instance is written to the browser console. Slopstop reads, changes and transmits nothing else in your account.
