Why does it now announce with a little popup that it skipped a sponsor? Its jarring and obtrusive.

It has done that since day one. It does that to allow you to unskip it. You can disable easily by clicking the "never show" button on the notice.

К сожалению ютуб стал медленней с данным расширением, слышал они специально противоборствуют подобным блокировщикам и замедляют что бы отключали. Пришлось отключить и надеяться на обновления с обходом замедления.
