Privacy policy for Stapler — Offline PDF Tools
Effective Date: August 6, 2026
TL;DR: Stapler is a completely offline, client-side application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your files or personal data.
- Data Collection and Usage
Stapler operates entirely within your web browser. All PDF processing (merging, splitting, compressing, signing, redacting, etc.) is done locally on your device using WebAssembly (Wasm) and JavaScript technologies.
We do not upload your files to any server.
We do not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage data.
We do not track your personal information.
2. Local Storage
Stapler may use your browser's local storage mechanisms (such as IndexedDB or LocalStorage) temporarily to facilitate the processing of large files or to remember your preferences (like theme settings). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser's settings.
- Third-Party Services
Stapler does not integrate with any external third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics services. It is a standalone tool designed to respect your privacy. - Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the extension updates. However, our core commitment to keeping your files local and offline will never change. - Contact
