Privacy policy for THE SOLVER Extension
Effective date: September 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how THE SOLVER Extension (the "Extension"), a browser extension for Firefox, collects, uses, and stores information. The Extension helps users of thesolver.com automatically import their daily fantasy sports (DFS) contest history from DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo Fantasy into THE SOLVER's Bankroll Tracker.
Use of the thesolver.com website and your SOLVER account is also governed by our Terms of Use.
The Extension runs only when you open it from the Firefox toolbar and click a Sync button. When you do, it:
- Confirms you are signed in to your THE SOLVER account.
- Uses your existing, logged-in browser sessions with DraftKings, FanDuel, and/or Yahoo to download your contest history from those sites — the same export files you could download yourself from each site.
- Uploads those files to THE SOLVER's servers so they appear in your Bankroll Tracker.
The Extension does not run in the background on its own, does not run on web pages you visit, and does not sync anything unless you click Sync.
When you click Sync, the Extension retrieves your contest history export from the DFS site(s) you choose and transmits it to THE SOLVER's servers (
api.thesolver.com). These exports typically contain, for each contest you entered: the sport, contest name and type, date, the entry fee you paid, the winnings you received, your finishing position, and related contest details as provided by the DFS site. This is financial transaction information about your DFS activity. It is associated with your THE SOLVER account and used to populate your Bankroll Tracker.
To perform a sync, the Extension handles the following credentials:
- THE SOLVER session token. The Extension requests a tracking token from thesolver.com using your existing login session and stores it in the Extension's local browser storage. This token identifies your SOLVER account when uploading contest history. It is sent only to THE SOLVER.
- FanDuel authentication token. To download your FanDuel history, the Extension reads the FanDuel authentication cookie already present in your browser and sends it only to FanDuel's own servers, exactly as your browser does when you use FanDuel's website. This token is never sent to THE SOLVER and is not stored by the Extension.
- DraftKings and Yahoo sessions. For DraftKings and Yahoo, the Extension does not read any cookies or tokens directly. Your browser attaches your existing login session to the download request automatically, in the same way it does when you visit those sites.
The Extension stores the date and time of your last successful sync for each site in the Extension's local browser storage. This is used only to avoid re-downloading history you have already synced.
The Extension does not collect, access, or transmit:
- Your passwords for any site
- Payment methods, credit or debit card numbers, or bank account details
- Your browsing history, the content of web pages you visit, or your activity on any website
- Your location
- Analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or crash reports
- Any data from DraftKings, FanDuel, or Yahoo other than the contest history export described above
We use the information described above solely to:
- Import your contest history into your THE SOLVER Bankroll Tracker and display it to you
- Authenticate you to your THE SOLVER account during a sync
- Avoid downloading duplicate history on later syncs
We do not use Extension data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- With the DFS sites you sync. Requests are sent to DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo using your existing sessions in order to retrieve your own history. Those sites' own privacy policies govern their handling of your account.
- With service providers. THE SOLVER's servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which processes data on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of THE SOLVER, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If THE SOLVER is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
- In your browser. The SOLVER session token and sync timestamps are stored in the Extension's local storage on your device. They are not synced to any Firefox account. They are removed when you uninstall the Extension.
- On THE SOLVER's servers. Contest history is stored in your THE SOLVER account on servers located in the United States.
All data transmitted by the Extension is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
- Contest history uploaded to THE SOLVER is retained as part of your account for as long as your account is active.
- You can delete your synced contest history at any time using the delete option in the Bankroll Tracker on thesolver.com.
- To delete your THE SOLVER account, including all associated data, email us at support@thesolver.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 7 business days and complete the deletion, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
- Uninstalling the Extension removes all locally stored Extension data from your browser immediately. It does not delete data already uploaded to your THE SOLVER account.
Firefox will show you these permissions when you install the Extension. Here is why each is needed:
| Permission | Why the Extension needs it |
|---|---|
| Access your data for thesolver.com and api.thesolver.com | To confirm you are signed in and to upload your contest history to your account |
| Access your data for draftkings.com, fanduel.com, and dfyql-ro.sports.yahoo.com | To download your contest history exports using your existing login sessions |
| Read and modify cookies | To read the FanDuel authentication cookie needed to request your FanDuel history. The Extension does not modify any cookies. |
| Storage | To save your session token and last-sync timestamps locally |
The Extension declares to Mozilla that it collects authentication information and financial and payment information, as described in Sections 2.1 and 2.2.
THE SOLVER and the Extension are intended for adults who are legally eligible to participate in daily fantasy sports. They are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete synced contest history yourself in the Bankroll Tracker on thesolver.com; for all other requests, including account deletion, email support@thesolver.com and we will respond within 7 business days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
