- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13638246, 9 years agoCan't install it. It shows "This add-on requires a newer version of Firefox (at least version 57.0a1). You are using Firefox 52.0." but I already have version 57.0.1 installed and running.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13614309, 9 years agoJe demande juste un programme simple qui me télécharge ce que j'ai sur la page et qui me le range simplement et intelligemment dans un dossier sans que j'ai à chercher à comprendre midi à 14 heures, et que je peux retrouver facilement sans prise de tête et sans me poser 36000 questions, bref, sans fioritures inutiles, et basta. C'est trop demander ??? Je désinstalle donc cette grosse merde.
Impossible de jouer le fichier -> FUCK OFF ! - Rated 1 out of 5by codemancjackson, 9 years agoIf you think im about to install another application/program to use the same addon ive used for 8 years your sorely mistaken. to lock a feature as basic as install location behind your "companion" app is absurd. uninstalled

- Rated 1 out of 5by pablo, 9 years agoI have used Video Download Helper since nearly the beginning. It has been good for the most part. However, there are times when it sucks to high heaven. The current version sucks and does not work. It is not a rookie issue or some other thing. If you are like me still using Win 7 because of business reasons or home version of Win 10 then DLH no longer works or does not work like it should
In this history of DLH, there have been 3 versions that totally sucked and this new version 7 fits into the category of sucking to high heaven. I removed it because it is now worthless. Will use another product that 2 months ago could not hold a candle to DLH but now it is light years better than the current version. BY the way, the companion app crap is stupidity in motion and causes some conflict issues that I noted. Secondly, it does not provide anything special or improvement.
To those who have not downloaded the companion APP DO NOT DO IT. It will cause instability issues and freeze ups where you never had it before. If you did, sorry, you will need to remove DLH and then root out the app and make sure nothing survives from DLH and in extreme cases, remove FireFox and reinstall it. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13626994, 9 years agoAddon simply doesn't work as of yesterday (12/21/2017). When Firefox Quantum was released, the addon was updated and worked fine for me. Then there came this weird companion app that, for whatever reason, the developer is trying to shoehorn in. To be fair, this could be because users are trying to download content on other places than I was and were having troubles I wasn't having. Despite having worked, it's now hobbled. I'm not installing a companion app, and I'm not auditing the developer's code, though the transparency of releasing the source code is encouraging. If this ever changes, and the developer finds a workaround, I'll return and change my rating. But as of right now, I'm going to be finding another solution.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13626668, 9 years agoNe fonctionne plus du tout depuis la dernière mise à jour. Bref, une perte totale.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13626652, 9 years agoWas the best, now useless. Where's the previews? Why does it need a companion now but not before(I rolled back the terrible FF v57)? Why wont the companion install? What happened?
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13626263, 9 years agoLast updated: terrible. External app to download that crashes on linux and you can not download anything. The window does not provide information on downloa speed. BACK, I WANT THAT FIRST, I want to see the progress of the download from Firefox. For now I have changed software
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13625989, 9 years agoSimply awful. I can no longer download uTube music videos. I am using latest Firefox 64 bit version (57.0.2) and latest VDH version (as of 23 Dec 2017) running under Windows 10. I have used VDH for some years, and it used to be a handy add-on, but no longer.
I've had enough of the time-wasting excuses. This product is no longer competent and I'm looking for an alternative. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13625656, 9 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13624540, 9 years agoThis add-on requires a newer version of Firefox (at least version 57.0a1). You are using Firefox 55.0.
I am using 57.92 (latest) - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13477661, 9 years agoThey screw up the whole app it is junk you cant do half the stuff you used to do with it. i loved that i could name the file but you cant do that know. it is really sad. freezes up and stop working. It was the best app a couple of months ago before all the updates know i am going to look for something that will work and do the job that this used to do.. But this app have major changes that make it junk. The new look it harder to use and look very bad. . one day i hope they fix the app they broke and make it great again. I am not a beginner used or someone with there owner app. i am just telling how it is. Maybe it is the stupid changes firefox did or it is the app it self. All i know is that it was working at its best months ago.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13623396, 9 years agoI've been using this extension for many years. What happened? Why is there a QR code Watermark on every single video I've downloaded?
Really? A watermark? So.. what would be the point using this extension?
Are you trying yo get rid of your users? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13544571, 9 years agoI find it suspicious that you want the cached data from all websites I browse. This extension could possibly record the passwords and personal info you type
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13621129, 9 years agoI was running on Firefox v 57.0.2, then the Video Download Helper icon disappeared and I can not download any more videos. This is not good.
