Local YouTube MP3 Converter turns the audio from a YouTube watch or Shorts page into an MP3 file on your computer. Conversion runs locally in Firefox with bundled FFmpeg WebAssembly. Media is not uploaded to a conversion server operated by the developer.

HOW TO USE
1. Open a YouTube video or Short.
2. Accept the personal-use disclaimer the first time (toolbar popup or on-page prompt).
3. Click the red MP3 button, then Convert to MP3.
4. Choose where to save the file when Firefox asks.

Regular videos are captured from the player (the page may seek briefly). Shorts typically convert from the audio stream. The first conversion may take longer while FFmpeg.wasm loads.
