by ee, 3 years agoOffers good functionalities, but seems rarely able to enforce them. E.g. I almost always have to turn autoplay off and cancel up next videos manually. It's features are well thought out; it's just wildly inconsistent.
edit:
what even was that drivel? how is this rating-manipulating heckling even allowed on AMO?

posted 3 years agoHi there, read again maybe? Whats not supposed to do here is misplacing support requests in reviews. Be assured an author's comment can be relevant more easily. You might not want to launch wrongful attacks here either like "wildly inconsistent".

Hi there, several people confused the number of options and how specific they are: Autoplay means if a video is starting to play at page load without a click. Disabling "Up next Autoplay" is another features that you want to use separately (or both, your choice).
(Most of our users yet bring the interest/geek to watch up to 100 switches. )
Also please consider that no matter what we work for free since 11 years and 100s of times than most extensions with a single feature never requiring an update. So we deserve more than 5 stars. Our features are consistently developed and some might (or might not) temporarily have issues after YouTube changes. (Since YouTube doesn't announce these changes, it is the best we can possibly do. The only hope to manage this 24/7 service perfectly is many users and luckily we grow. Slowly tho. With every bad and inaccurate review it gets worst, my hope goes down. That's the purpose of review. You decide if you want such to be attempted any further or just not bother, or even vote it down to make it stop existing.)

- Rated 3 out of 5by Re'soul, 25 days agorandomly causes youtube to stop working due to "connection not secure" with the only way to fix it being to clear cookies and site data for youtube also since i started using this add on firefox will randomly freeze up and will often crash and forcefully close all windows, i've never had this happen with any other firefox add on just this one so for those two reasons this add on is kinda unusable due to how buggy it is and how annoying those bugs are due to how often they happen, over all the add on is fine would actually be really good if the issues were fixed but pretty much everything if not everything this add on does can be found in other more stable add ons that don't randomly brake youtube or firefox

posted 3 days agohi, like other persistent open source projects you can find 1000s of issues and wishes done here https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/issues . Your cookie issue was not posted there yet hence it may be rare or mistake, eitherway you may have a good experience using our bug report template there with some more specificity (often required)
'if not everything' the math doesn't work there, since we have very specific features. - Rated 5 out of 5by SmokeySalmon, a month ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by foundinwords, a month agoBasically unusable, as it slowed my browser nearly to a halt, especially when on Youtube.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 20007710, 2 months agoGenerally amazing and great features. But I have 2 features I'd like to ask for. 1 being a separate grid size options for shorts and for the side bar on video player. While I'm not doom scrolling shorts, I'm sub'd to a few channels that put out great quality shorts that'd I'd like to view. Shorts are just really large compared to normal thumbnails. It's a balancing issue choosing between smaller thumbnails vs huge shorts. 2, Sidebar thumbnails feel huge after installing this extension. If you could include an option to reduce thumbnail size and increase video title space, that'd be great. But 2 is honestly just personal preference. I'm using Zen Browser if that makes any difference.

- Rated 1 out of 5by tokumei, 3 months agoWhile watching videos on YouTube, playback occasionally stops on its own. I am aware that the website has a feature that stops playback after 15 minutes of inactivity, but this seems to be a different issue.
In addition, videos sometimes stop playing when I switch to another browser tab. In those cases, playback resumes as soon as I return to the YouTube tab. The behavior is somewhat similar to the YouTube mobile app, where playback may stop when the screen or app is switched.
Both issues tend to occur near the beginning of a video rather than throughout the entire playback session.
I did not experience these problems while the add-on was disabled, so I suspect there may be some compatibility issue between the add-on and a web service or browser feature. - Rated 5 out of 5by felda9000, 3 months ago
