Browsec doesn't add any redirects. It also doesn't cancel or modify your requests in any way.
Browsec Firefox addon was reviewed by Mozilla Team and Browsec Chrome addon (which has the same code base) was reviewed by Softpedia and got '100% Clean' award http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Internet-Applications-Addons/Chrome-Extensions/Browsec-Chrome-Extension.shtml#status
