Where I feel missed led is the "recommended" tag from Firefox. I assumed it guaranteed some sort of privacy/protection grantee or criteria that had to be followed. It apparently does not as I read the policy of both the larger company and the specifics of the extension. Their overarching policy of Learneo(main company) in general is horrendous with AI trained on your data and selling you info to third party sight and much more.
The worst in my opinion that stems from the extension is that it will send 15 strings (symbols like letters and numbers) before and after EVERY ignored suggestion. This might include personal sensitive details such as, passwords, emails and much more.
So yeah if you care about privacy or privet details don't enable it on most sights or remove the extension entirely.
(Be aware though that removing it will send them information like the URL for the last website used the service on)

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18462043, 5 hours agoThe overuse of AI is getting tiring. I dont want an "enhanced experience designed to make my writing sound more professional, eloquent and solid", I want a spellcheck that works on several languages, the list of which I can choose from and customize. It was perfect before, there was no reason to change it

- Rated 1 out of 5by Thomasp942, a day agoThis extension used to be great and it worked perfectly for years. Then all of a sudden it starts with annoying popups all the time and it no longer works. What a shame.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 20147637, a day agoNow requires payment to fund AI features no one asked for. So long, and thanks for the fish.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 19898616, a day agoNoooo!!! This was one of my top 3 extensions that I always choose when I reinstall everything. And now it's pay only? Please no!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Edge, 2 days agoRip, used to use it for writing and now you need to register for a subscription.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 20144828, 2 days ago"Oh, we need more money, to run AI in I language tool, pay us, peasants". Yeah, how about you don't use AI, then? Also, you greedy bastards got public funding, for what? To rob people?

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 20143857, 3 days agoThey changed it today to a fully paid service even for the basic tasks. Can not recommend. Just bait.
- Rated 1 out of 5by zerojun, 3 days agoAs of September 4, 2026, at 8:54 p.m., this add-on no longer functions as described, which constitutes misleading advertising.
Now, users with limited financial means are being intentionally excluded—and this is happening at a company that receives public funding, which makes me seriously question its eligibility for such funding.
The add-on used to be very good, but due to a decision that was made, it’s barely worth 1 star anymore.
It’s a shame that there are companies that intentionally exclude people. - Rated 1 out of 5by Alice, 3 days agoWelp, here we are.
"he rise of generative AI has made it more challenging to sustainably monetize our offering".
translation: "due to the server costs of running AI in our spellchecker we will start charging money for it".
Drop AI and the server costs will instantly become more manageable, I imagine.
To be clear, I'm not against a developer charging for their product - I am against developers jumping on a fad bandwagon and then crying about it. You're running a SPELLCHECKER, guys, you don’t need AI to run a dictionary search.
But now we can have "AI POWERED PARAPHRASING" How, oh how did the product even operate before the blessing of AI???
I just cannot treat this seriously, sorry, Word processor had this running smoothly 15 years ago, catch up!
