Fair question, and my mistake: the listing's licence field said MIT, which implied the source was published. It isn't; I've corrected it to All Rights Reserved. ReTab is closed source, but Mozilla's reviewers receive the complete unminified source with every release. The extension also requests no host permissions and makes no network requests of any kind - everything is stored locally in your browser.
